It’s summer which is wedding season, which also means fall behind on the blog season.
It inevitably happens every year.
What is more important to me is getting my clients galleries out to them first. I am finding if I blog after the galleries go out, I get the galleries out quicker. Why? Because I can curate the finished photos rather than choose, then edit just those few for the blog, then go back and edit the rest.
So I apologize to my couples who have not had their weddings put up yet on my site.
Good news though, if it’s up, it means you have received your completed on-line gallery!
Today’s highlight belongs to Paul and Roxanne.
They were married at Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane farm June 15th (yes I am that far behind!) As it happens, it has been the only rainy day wedding I have captured so far this year.
They were very much in luck, it only started to rain in the last 5 minutes of the out door ceremony and it was a light sprinkle at that. I thought personally, this made it a little more special. I really enjoy seeing all the umbrellas come out for the photos.
The downside is the bride having to deal with a dirty hem line on her dress, but it just makes the day more real.
Roxanne and Paul seemed relaxed and went with the flow of the day. There were many heartfelt speeches, a great dancing crowd, which you don’t always see…props to the DJ I suppose! And everyone had a ton of fun during the sparkler exit and playing with the leftovers afterwards.
What a beautiful day it turned out to be despite a few rain drops.
Congratulations again, and my best to both of you going forward.
