Lifestyle wedding photography in Ottawa by Stacey Stewart | Stacey and Brent Married at the Brookstreet Hotel

Stacey and Brent were married at the Brookstreet Hotel May 11th 2019. It turned out to be a beautiful day, despite it being a little on the chilly side. These two are completely fun loving and just really oozed happiness on their special day.
I met Stacey over a year ago at a wedding open house. She was the winner of my boudoir give-a-way and we had a great session together. During that session, I found out she was 6 weeks pregnant (and not showing at all that I could tell) where she let me know she had already booked her wedding photographer and she might have to changethe wedding date now that she was expecting. Stacey and Brent were meant to be getting married New Years eve 2018. During the wedding speeches I learned that there was even another date before that….but due to circumstances it was not to be.

A couple more months had passed and Stacey Contacted me again. Things were not working out with their other photographer, and she wondered if I would be available for their new date. Indeed I was and very happy about being able to work with Stacey again. She had so much confidence and a fun personality.

At the Brook Street Hotel, I finally got to meet Brent, as well as his and Stacey’s families. I also got to meet their sweet little boy, who looked so adorable in his “suit”. Suits don’t last long on babies, but omg,what a sweetie.
My second shooter was with the guys getting ready where apparently they hijacked some scaffolding so Brent could surf the top of it. Whatever it takes for a fun pic and Stacey and her girls have a traditional wedding pic they have taken at their weddings, I’ll let you see if you can guess which one it is.
We also got to learn what kind of dancer Brent was when it was time to remove the garter. I’ll let those photos speak for themselves.

It was a great way to kick off wedding season, nice and relaxed, full of fun, laughter and love. All the best Stacey and Brent.
