This past June, Megan and Joel got married! Yay! This folks was my very first BRUNCH wedding.

This beautiful couple had to get up oh so early in order to be ready for their big day and so did their vendors. I had zero complaints about this process.

It was a beautiful day considering how many cold, angry, wet days we had leading up to it. It was going to be a crap shoot on the weather for sure.

I had the opportunity to photograph Megan and Joel in the fall of October 2018, so I already knew two things about them. 1. They were impossibly cute and 2. Friendly and laid back. (To see their engagement shoot click here)

The day started out for me at Megan’s Parents place, getting ready with her bridesmaids, mom and dad. Once we got to the venue, Megan got the opportunity to be whisked down the maple lane path where her groom, family and friends anxiously awaited her arrival. I’m sure she had a bit of a princess moment being escorted with her dad to the excited crowd.

Brides (and grooms) if I can give you one piece of advice, don’t stop smiling on your wedding day. These two never did, and the joy just radiates right through the photographs and into your hearts.

Now lets talk about that brunch! It was so odd to have a brunch instead of a wedding dinner. Stanley’s did it up right though with waffles, bacon, sausage, homemade baked beans and their signature maple syrup with a selection of fruits and pastries. It was fab and a nice change from the typical.

The day ended by 5:00 which still gave most people enough time to get home and enjoy their families and get ready for the week ahead. I would imagine it also gave Megan and Joel a few good hours to reflect and keep on celebrating on their own.
