Welcome to 2019!
I hope everyone is looking forward to the new year with renewed hope and energy. After eating my way through December and ruining all my lovely summer weight loss (ok so it was like 6 lbs, but still) I am back on the healthy-ish wagon. Who’s with me? How long will our shiny new 2019 goals last? It doesn’t matter, as long as you give whatever you want to do the ol’ college try, that’s what matters. Success = failure then learning from those failures and trying again.
Whether you know this about me or not, I am a little bit of a scatterbrain when it comes to organizing myself. Sure I keep a pretty tight ship with my wedding clients (because I have software to remind of stuff), but generally I can’t focus on one task for too long without hopping to the next thing.
I am one of those people who starts cleaning the bedroom and on the way out to get the broom I see shoes out of place then start cleaning the entrance way, then notice the garbage is full in the bathroom and head there. Is that ADD? Asking for a friend.
Anyhow, hoping to try my hand at some personal branding photography this year and learn some additional photoshop skills so I can make cool art pieces just for fun. I have already recruited a couple of models for March to help me explore the art of creating the perfect pin up girl poster.
On the wedding scene, I will be at Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm next weekend (Jan 19th and 20th) as a vendor at their open house. If Stanley’s has been on your radar for your venue, come on out and see what they have to offer, and then come and see me and hire me as your photographer. (not pandering for business here at all).
I still have some openings for 2019 and 2020 has lots of room, so hit me up with your date and maybe we’ll be a match.
I am currently working on updating my website. It’s hard to believe it’s 3 years old already, and alas, it is looking tired and old and I can’t wait to showcase so many great new photos and introduce you to my build your own wedding package pricing structure! No hidden fee’s, no calling me up if you want to find out what I charge (although I’d love it if you did!) because let’s face it, a bride trying to budget and plan just wants to know the cold hard facts.
As you likely know, in the world of wedding photography, summer and fall are b-u-s-y! I try my best to blog and showcase all of my weddings, engagement sessions and styled shoots. Sometimes I miss a few, so I am going to end this here letting you know that my next blog will be a lovely fall engagement session I didn’t quite get around to posting (see photo below of the lovely couple).
