Well wedding season has drawn to a close for this year, so now it’s time to wrap up loose ends, photograph families, branding photos, headshots and work on other projects. I am going to be immersing myself as much as possible into some on-line, in depth learning of photoshop, fine art and compositing skills. I have purchased a green screen and hope to learn the art of extracting my subjects and making fun, fantasy worlds. I have always been interested in making art with photography and now that we are in the off season, hopefully I will have some time to learn.
On another note, since the last quarter of wedding season is often busiest, (September and October) I am going to be showcasing a few of the engagement sessions I had the pleasure of photographing for some of my couples who are getting married next year. First up is Charles and Stephanie. I drove down to Kingston to photograph them on Stephanie’s parents property. They travelled all the way up from Southern Ontario, so luckily the weather held out for us and we were able to get some beautiful shots! Looking forward to their Kingston wedding next year at the Royal Military College.
