Marissa and Cody were married on September 29th, 2018 at the BARN in Carleton Place. Their day was filled with so much love, laughs and tears that I even choked up a few times.
Getting ready Cody had a best ‘woman’ who kept him in line and kept things running on time. She was also not afraid to get in on the toast with the gift she had received from Cody while they were getting ready. One of Marissa’s bridesmaids showed up with a handmade crochet bouquet she created herself, which complemented the beautiful arrangements the bridesmaids carried.
We eventually set off to town hall in Almonte for the pair to do their first look. I was really sad to see the bridge was blocked off and under construction, but we made it work! After a few photos there, we made our way to the BARN to start the ceremony. My favourite bit was when Mom and Stepmom walked down the aisle arm in arm and Dad and Stepdad escorted Marissa to her new husband to be. I always find this so touching when family can come together to support their children in any situation. Kudos family!
As summer was slowly fading into fall, we captured the couple amongst the beautiful grounds surrounding the venue. It rained on and off slightly, but that only added to the drama of the skies and glory of the sunset. Cody and Marissa finished off the night with a tasty catered dinner by the BARN and great music and dancing. I hope the rest of your days together are as happy as your wedding day.
