Courtney and Sean tied the knot on a Sunny Thursday in Carleton Place Ontario. Their ceremony and reception were held at the BARN wedding venue and it was lovely! The bride got ready at her parents rental house, which was also on a small farm. They had the most gorgeous lane way and little outbuildings bursting with charm.

Once there, I learned that not only were Courtney and Sean moving shortly after saying their I do’s, but the whole family were also moving to all different locations across Canada and the US. They had a narrow window of time where all the stars aligned and they were able to be together before everyone set off to their new homes.

Both Sean and Courtney’s father are military men. As I would later learn that evening, Courtney’s father was also recently promoted to Captain, so there was more cause for celebration.

After the sunny ceremony outside the Barn, Courtney really wanted to take off to a cute little town nearby with an abandoned store front for photos. I am glad we went, because as you can see from the photos below, it was lovely and romantic.

We arrived back to a delicious buffet dinner provided by the BARN’s catering team, speeches and dancing. I took the bride and groom out for a couple of sunset photos, only to find myself chest deep in a hole I didn’t see (That will teach me to wander off into the tall grass).

Sean with his chivalry, rescued me and everyone got down to the business of celebrating with dessert, drinks and good music. I hope the two of you had a successful move and took a little time for yourselves after the wedding! Congrats again.
