Sandra and Jeff were married February 10th, 2018 on a very snowy day at the beautiful Strathmere Inn.
The day began at the brides home surrounded by friends and family. Her three daughters were her bridesmaids, along with her husband’s best friends wife as her maid of honour.
The getting ready process was very relaxed and everyone looked adorable in their matching floral robes. My assistant, neighbour, second shooter and all round good gal Jennifer, was simultaneously photographing the men getting ready. Looked to me like the vibe there was pretty relaxed also, with a few games of pool and a some sort of electric green liqueur.
I followed the bride and her wedding party to the venue, escorted by a white, stretch limo. Once we arrived, we met up with the wedding planner Cait, from Bourbon and Bloom as well as my assistant. We needed to scope out a good spot for the couple to do their first look. It was now snowing very hard, and we decided on the steps of the Inn so we could make a quick escape back in doors.
Jeff waited patiently at the top of the steps for his bride to be and it was all smiles, hugs and kisses when she tapped him on the shoulder and saw they each other for the first time.
We took some beautiful portraits and wedding party photos in the falling snow, then headed indoors for a few pics inside the wonderfully restored inn. The light that streams through the windows at the inn is simply gorgeous!
It was finally time for the ceremony, where Jeff and Sandra said their vows in front of a cozy fireplace inside the Strathmere lodge. We all got to enjoy a sumptuous 6 course meal, and I can’t say enough about the food at Strathmere, it’s always to die for! Sandra and Jeff treated everyone to a choreographed first dance and then the dance floor was opened to their guests. Rug cutting commenced.
Finally, it was time for me to say good-bye and wished them all the fun, love and joy they could handle on their honeymoon. They were going to Bora Bora to stay in one of those lovely huts on the water, you know the kind you dream about in your vacation fantasies. So no doubt it was paradise!
Thank you Jeff and Sandra for including me in your day, it was beautiful.
