Paul and Emily’s day started off a little less traditional than some and with a little less stress. As I say less stress, I got a text message from my best friend asking if I was home, and I quickly texted her back just as I was arriving at the venue, “No wedding.” Little did I know I actually texted the groom that message “No wedding.” I got a bit of a frantic text back from the groom saying “What! Where are you?”
Luckily I was down in the lobby….just a bit of scare. After that, I met Emily and her mom up in their room at the Perth Best Western, where she finished getting ready. We then ventured down to the lobby where Emily met her groom to be, and everyone walked down the street from the hotel to the bandshell together where they were to be married. It was a gorgeous day, and once settled in, the heartfelt vows were conveyed with smiles and laughter.
I have to say, Stewart park is such a gorgeous spot for photos! We had fun, Paul and Emily’s Co-ordinator Lisa, my assistant, and I had a few giggles trying to make the newlyweds laugh. My instructions were “No cheesy photos.” Not sure if I succeeded completely or not?
We met the rest of guests back at the Stone Cellar restaurant for dinner and dessert, where Emily and Paul mingled with their guests and enjoyed the great food and wine. It was a beautiful low key evening and the perfect day for Paul and Emily. Congratulations once again!
Best. Suspenders. Ever!
I got push back from Paul for this photo on the bridge, when I asked Emily to reach up and bring his face towards hers. He said “oh come on!” (as this constituted as one of those cheesy photos) but it made Emily laugh, and I got this beautiful pic of her natural laughter and it’s one of MY favourites from the day. Hope you guys love it too ;)
