A down pouring of love!
August 13 Tracy and Jamie said their “I do’s” at their beautiful new home in hills of Mont Cascades. They had a planned a wonderful outdoor ceremony complete with DIY Canvas tents, Flowers and sweet country details. Like any outdoor wedding, you have to prepare for a bit of rain…..just in case. Well Jamie and Tracy would likely never have thought about how much it would actually rain, or more like POUR on their wedding day.
This was my first experience dealing with this much rain, and not having an assistant with me, so I too was a bit nervous. Luckily for me, Jamie and Tracy are about the happiest go-lucky couple you would ever want to meet. The rain, in fact, made everyone down- right giddy and everybody seemed to throw caution to the wind not letting the down pour dampen their spirits.
The ceremony was moved indoors, where Jamie and Tracy’s intimate vows made the close and cozy quarters feel like it was meant to be. Dinner was served out of a bright pink food truck with the moniker “Jolly Hog” and likely about the best burger I have ever had.
Dinner was followed up by speeches on the couples balcony and the first dance under the stars. There was a slight delay in the first dance however, when the grooms wedding ring slipped off into the grass. A search party gathered with cell phone flashlights in hand and it was eventually recovered.
It was such a laid back fun, loving event not even a minor monsoon could spoil. I have no doubt these two will shine through whatever this world throws at them.
Congratulations again, you two are amazing!
Mini Converse for Tracy’s sons…..so cute!
Guests arrived on a school bus and were taken back to Ottawa in the same fashion = no drinking and driving!
Emptying a bit of rain off the tent tops.
Not sure if the sun glasses were necessary, but they looked cool!
