It was such a joy to be a part of James and Kim’s wedding. They tied the knot on July 23rd at Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm in Metcalfe. An immediate shout out to Susan and her crew from Stanley’s. The day ran on-time and the venue was beautiful, I absolutely loved this property!
I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter and more fun couple to have for clients. Their day was full of laughs from the moment I arrived at the brides home, until I departed after the dance party was in full swing. When you have vows that make reference to the zombie apocalypse, you know it’s going to be a great day.
James and Kim have a love for animals (particularly kitty cats) so getting married amongst the farm critters was appropriate. The animals joined us for a few photos and at dinner, if you wanted the couple to kiss, you had to make a donation in the “kitty” for abandoned cats for that to happen. You could also belt out a tune and the lyrics were conveniently supplied at each table. It turned into a bit of a kissing karaoke fest.
We can’t forget James protectively letting us all use his baby (AKA the “Boss” mustang) for a few photo ops. There were strict rules to adhere to though. No direct body weight allowed anywhere on the vehicle, no sitting, and no dirty looks in reference to the vehicle. And mother nature, don’t even think about raining on this car. Mother nature did think about it and decided against it, lucky for her.
Everyone had an amazing time from what I can tell, myself included. Many thanks to all who assisted me and the bride and groom, all the best for the future.
So appropriate!
First timed being photobombed by a pot bellied pig!
Jame’s second love….
Special thanks to my assistant Jennifer Hood, who graciously photographed the boys getting ready for me! Nice work.
