October 3rd was the perfect day to be beautifully wed in Smith’s Falls, Ontario. The long awaited nuptials of Bethany and Doug took place at the Smith’s Falls Free Methodist church and their reception at the Smith’s Falls Golf and Country Club.
Bethany and Doug met in an on-line Christian chat room over 9 years ago. The most miraculous thing about that was Doug was in New York and Bethany was here in Smith’s Falls. After many on-line chats, then phone conversations, Bethany knew in her heart, Doug was the one and was ready to meet him. I heard in the speeches that Bethany’s parents thought this may be a bad idea….who was this guy any way? He may be a lunatic for all they knew. Luckily he turned out to be the man she grew to love and she the lady he trusted and loved in return. Finally they are able to be together without borders as they begin their lives together here in Canada.
Congratulations both of you and I wish you much happiness in your new adventure together.
Having a Cinderella moment with one of the bridesmaids.
