Glenna and Pete’s Friday night soiree was a relaxed affair themed red, white and black for Pete’s love of racing and Glenna’s chic style. I have known Glenna casually for quite a few years now, through my BFF, when she asked me to photograph her wedding I was honoured. Pete and Glenna’s celebration was not typically traditional, they had several ways of making their wedding day thier own and it had a really nice relaxed flow to it. I met them prior to the guests arriving at Winchelsea events in Winchester where the ceremony and reception was held. The grounds there are lovely and the bride and groom got to spend some romantic quality time together before they shared their joy with everyone else.
After the guests were seated patienty waiting for the bride to walk down the aisle, the couple surprised them by walking out together to the altar. I thought this was a nice romantic touch and a symbol of solidarity between them. After the ceremony, there were cocktails in the courtyard, follwed by a delicious buffet dinner. One of the cutest moments I was able to capture was the groom’s grandson standing on his own. He had only done it once the day before, so I was happy he was able to strike a pose for me!
It was nice to be part of this intimate gathering of friends and family, so I thank you Glenna and Pete for letting me be there. All the best!
