Heather and Marty decided they wanted to have a tulip festival engagement session. Every spring in Ottawa, thousands of tulips are in bloom supplying locals and toursits abound with some beautiful. captivating eye candy. Not wanting to miss this brief encounter with the tulips, we headed down to Dows Lake near sunset and fought the crowds to make some beautiful memories and images to commemorate Marty and Heathers engagement.
Cupid strikes again….
Marty and Heather will wed in August of this year, by that time they will be marking their fourth year together. They met on-line (which seems to be the norm these days) with Cupid.com. Heather decided on this particular site because she really digs survey’s and Cupid is one big survey. They filed there deets and the perfect match was made! They both love board games, hiking, biking, socializing, traveling, good beer, food and wine.
They have blended their families of children and fur babies and couldn’t be happier. I am really looking forward to shooting the wedding in August as the venue is going to be very unique and a lot of fun. I will keep it a surprise until then, so check back in a few months to find out where Heather and Marty have tied the knot!
It was lovely spending time with both of you, and I’ll see you again soon!
We were going for the romantic kiss and dip, but it turned into the cute and funny dancing with the stars dip…..which is way more ‘them’. Love it!
There was a big plywood structure at the festival where everyone was leaving their mark. Heather and Marty left thiers too.
Every now and then I like to do a dramatic edit. This was to enhance the sunset. So romantic.
