Lifestyle wedding photography in Ottawa by Stacey Stewart

Andy and Leah’s lakeside wedding took place on the shores of lake Simcoe just outside of Barrie in a lovely little burg called Innisfil. My assistant Crystal and I travelled from Ottawa to Barrie the evening before, barely missing a tornado that struck down about an hour’s drive away from us. Unfortunately that weather took a toll on Leah and Andy’s wedding venue which was set up outdoors at Andy’s parents beautiful waterfront home. Luckily for them, they had a lot of caring and helpful friends and family members whom had travelled far and wide standing by to clean up the mess. When the big day arrived all was back in order, including the weather.

I met Leah a few years ago when we worked together as dental hygienists in Petawawa. As circumstance would have it, I never actually got to meet Andy until the day of the wedding. I am always a little nervous about not meeting both the bride and groom before their wedding, but Andy was an easy going, fun loving guy and obviously a perfect match for Leah!

Both Andy and Leah have a passion for cars, their dog Ruby and of course good beer. These three things were prevalent through out the decor, reception and the day in general as everyone celebrated long and hard and had tons of fun.
Leah stated to me that she loves candid shots, so they are prevalent and plentiful in this wedding album. This, as always, is the highlight reel of the day put together by me but I know Leah and Andy and their friends and family will appreciate the rest of the shots of everyone celebrating and showing thier love for the newlyweds and one another.
