I set out with Carly and Josh a few weeks ago to capture some fun and romantic photographs of them in the Merrickville area where they both live and work. It was a very relaxed session and the weather couldn’t have been better!
Carly and Josh have been together for 6 years and met through friends of theirs. These two lucky lovebirds are travelling to Mexico next February to tie the knot, in what is probably the biggest destination wedding I have ever heard of! I think they said 60 or 70 guests will be accompanying them…..those are good friends and family right there folks.
Popping the question
I have gotten to know Carly and Josh over the last year, they are always joking with one another and with the people around them. Josh didn’t particularly strike me as the “romantic type” but when Carly told me thier engagement story, it was all about the sweetness and romance. Josh had commendeered his two year old nephew to help with the task. It kind of went like this…..
“Carly, uncle Josh has a present for you.”
He handed her a little bag.
“What is it”?
Carly opened the bag to find that tell tale little box as Josh got down on one knee ‘bawling like a baby’ as Carly tells it. They both shared tears of joy and Carly surprised and happy, slipped that gorgeous engagement ring on.
They will be having their reception back in Merrickville where even more friends and family can attend to celebrate their nuptuals. I thank you both for allowing me to photograph this special time in your lives. Wishing you the best in Mexico and ever after.
